Stunning. As an executive chef specialising in Indian food, finding an Indian restaurant up to scratch is tough! Look no further... Bay leaf is so much better than great. It’s wonderfully akin to a great aunts front room, and the service is very familiar. Tradition is followed with classic, extremely well balanced and executed dishes. 660ml kingfisher’s too... 1000% go. Trust me.
Fantastic vegan options and friendly helpful staff. We got take away and the staff where extremely knowledgeable about dietary preferences and where willing to answer our questions. The food was hot and very tasty. The portion size was just right. We particularly liked the samosas which where we’ll spiced and the vegan korma.
We dined here as a small hen party in fancy dress. We were only visiting for the weekend but was so glad we had a meal here.The food was amazing, all reasonably prices, including drinks and it was all presented beautifully. We had a lovely chat with the owner too. Thank you for a great evening. Highly recommend

Our first time in Bude due to work and happened to come across this place tonight 27/03. We were served by a lovely lady called Tas. We opted for lamb rogan josh and its one of the best weve ever had. Tas was amazing and we will definitely be back next time we are in Bude. 10/10 Josefa and Lee
Good food freshly cooked. Lovely naan bread cooked authentically ( light and thin). Friendly and prompt service. They kindly let us take our very quiet and calm dog in. We will be back in later this week !
Was in the area for Work needed some food saw this place had loads of reviews. Went with a dish that another user had Had reviewed. I wasn’t disappointed, the GOAN king prawn was amazing. Saucy with a kick. Restaurant is a small family run business, that’s usually a good sign food will be good. Can’t complain. The style and service Is very old school, but that’s what I liked about it.
Staying locally for the week and fancied a really nice Indian and this place didn’t disappoint. Went on a Tuesday night and it was about half full with a nice vibe. Staff were really friendly and couldn’t do more for you. I had the garlic South Indian balti and it was honestly the best curry I’ve ever had. HIGHLY recommend. Great sized portions, will absolutely return when back in Bude. There was a few options and glad we chose this one.
